Rohingya National Collection Drive

Alhamdulillah the Madrasah had the privilege of participating in the National Collection Drive for the Refugees of Rohingya. New, as well as good quality used clothing were collected from both the public, our pupils, parents and staff. We take this opportunity to thank all for their contributions.

We also place on record our appreciation to our staff, pupils and their parents who voluntarily assisted in sorting, packing, counting and boxing the various items. It was extremely encouraging to note the enthusiasm shown by our pupils towards this noble task.

The task was tremendous indeed. With the help of Allah Ta’aala and the support of our pupils and staff it was accomplished. A total of 8 loads were dropped off and handed over to the Al Imdaad Foundation for the next phases of distribution. Over 7000 items were sorted for both local and international distribution.

The following items were collected for the refugees of Rohingya specifically:

  1. 1147 blankets
  2. 1423 cloaks/abayas
  3. 486 baby blankets
  4. 1922 scarves/burkas

May Allah Ta’aala accept the efforts of all and allow the items to reach the recipients with ease.
